Center Membership

The Virginia Interfaith Center for Public Policy is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, supported by foundation gifts, faith organizations and individuals from across the Commonwealth. As an interfaith organization, we are not allied with any particular religion -- all faiths participate in our work. We focus on issues affecting the poor and working poor, and those facing bias. Our watchwords -- Learn. Pray. Act. -- mean we study the issues, educating ourselves and others; we allow our faith to show us the way forward; and we use the techniques of advocacy to let legislators know how we feel.

Our members consist of individuals, families, congregations and organizations that partner with us financially to continue to raise the voice of faithful advocates. Your membership in the Virginia Interfaith Center is more than an act of charity- it is a statement for change. It is a call for social justice and a movement for compassion in the public sphere.

Benefits of your tax-deductible individual membership contribution include:

$50 - Weekly Legis-Link newsletter during the General Assembly Session, Inter-Session newsletter updates throughout the year, invitation to vote in the annual membership poll, to set Center’s priority policy areas, and the opportunity to attend the Center’s annual meeting each fall

$100 - Previous level benefits, plus admission to Day for All People, our annual advocacy day during the General Assembly

$250 - Previous level benefits, plus a staff-guided General Assembly experience and a special invitation to Virginia’s Native American Tribute held the day before Thanksgiving at the general assembly with the governor

$500 - Previous level benefits, plus priority seating at “An Evening for the Commonwealth”

Benefits of your tax-deductible Congregational or Organizational membership contribution include:

$200 - Receive access to Center research, reports, staff and materials to help develop social justice advocates in your faith community or organization. Your organization will also be recognized in the Center’s Annual Report and receive an invitation to our

any of our priority issues.
