VICPP’s 2018 Annual Celebration and Awards Benefit is Sept. 26. You can attend as an individual or one of our sponsors. #VICPP2018

Formerly held in December, this will be the annual dinner where VICPP honors several people and organizations that have worked for social justice and change in Virginia.

About the Virginia Interfaith Center for Public Policy
The Virginia Interfaith Center for Public Policies (VICPP) advocates economic and social justice in Virginia’s policies and practices through education, prayer and action. The organization engages people of faith and other people of good will through congregations, local chapters and affiliates, college campuses and its online communities. VICPP’s current priorities are:

• Medicaid Expansion: VICPP has been the leading faith voice advocating Medicaid expansion. The organization has worked tirelessly on this issue.

• Wage justice: VICPP introduced a package of modest wage theft reforms into the General Assembly. Although the package did not pass, VICPP will reintroduce the package and seek a budget amendment. VICPP is organizing Living Wage Certification programs in Richmond, Alexandria and Charlottesville to honor and recognize employers that pay living wages.

Welcoming all:  VICPP seeks to make Virginia more welcoming to immigrants, people of color and other marginalized people. Currently, VICPP is building a Central Virginia Sanctuary Network and helping communities adopt best practices for how their sheriffs interact with immigrants.

Criminal justice reform: VICPP advocates a restorative justice model that is humane and cost effective. VICPP advocated increasing the felony threshold from $200 to $500.

About the Annual Celebration and Awards Benefit
Since 2016, VICPP has recognized the hard work and extraordinary contributions of its volunteers and partner organizations through its Annual Celebration and Awards Benefit. This event is an opportunity for the entire community to come together and celebrate recent accomplishments, recognize the work of key organizations and people, enjoy the company of people with similar values and passions for justice and have fun while raising funds to undergird the organization.

The 2018 benefit will take place on Sept. 26 at the Hippodrome Theater, a wonderful art deco theater in historic Jackson Ward. Guests will enjoy an evening of cocktails and dinner while learning about the work of the Virginia Interfaith Center and honoring our annual award recipients. Funds raised through the 2018 Annual Celebration and Awards Benefit will support the Virginia Interfaith Center’s work toward making Virginia a more compassionate and equitable Commonwealth.

Event Sponsorship
Event sponsors play a remarkable role in the success of our annual benefit, and ultimately in the success of our organization by publicly showing their support for the essential work of the Virginia Interfaith Center for Public Policy. This year, sponsorship opportunities exist at a variety of levels, offering marketing benefits and customized packages to both individuals and corporations.
