Belmont United Methodist Church is hosting a “Church and Community Conversation on Race and Reconciliation” through discussion, worship and idea exploration on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.The event will examine the role of churches, political bodies and community organizations in the quest to improve race relations. This gathering of minds will search for solutions and develop plans of action to improve race relations in communities and will also explore the Ava DuVernay documentary film “13th,” an in-depth look at the prison system, mass incarceration and racial inequality.
