Over the past 35 years the Virginia Interfaith Center for Public Policy has been blessed with many wonderful volunteers, people who we count on because we have such a small staff. We’re always on the lookout for additional volunteers. If our work is something you feel good about getting involved in, we’re love to talk to you.  Here are some typical needs:

  • Regularly update and work on our database;

  • Assist the Executive Director in scheduling meetings for her and board members with prospective donors;

  • Work with our communications director in developing short articles on issues for denominational publications;

  • Help build a new team to figure out how congregations can address criminal justice issues in Virginia;

  • Help us reach out to congregations;

  • Help organize a worker center in Richmond by serving on the planning team;

  • Work on the team developing a living wage certification program;

  • Help with our special events (mainly the Annual Meeting and the Day for All People).
