May Day RVA: Monday, May 1, starting at 10:30 a.m.,

The Virginia Interfaith Center for Public Policy will kick off this year’s May Day events for the Central Virginia region! Leaders from different faith traditions will give a call to action in multiple languages, inviting all of our communities to stand in solidarity with the oppressed. Immediately after the convocation we will participate in a community art showcase featuring the voices of marginalized communities. The art showcase will celebrate our beautiful diversity and elevate the collective struggle of the people.

El Centro Interreligioso de Virginia dará incio a los eventos de May Day para la region de Virginia Central! Lideres de varias religiones nos llamarán a tomar acción, invitando a todas nuestras comunidades a permanecer en solidaridad con los oprimidos. Inmediatamente después de la convocación, participaremos en un demuestro de arte comunitario, amplificando las voces de las comunidades marginalizadas. El demuestro de arte celebrará la belleza de diversidad y elevará la lucha colectiva del pueblo.
