Legislative Advocacy Days - 2005 General Assembly

You are invited to participate in the Day of All People of Faith on February 3, 2005 at the Virginia General Assembly. The day-long event affirms the work of the faith community to fulfill its mission to unite people of faith to build a more just and sustainable Commonwealth.

On February 3, 2005 - we will:
• meet with legislators at the Capitol in Richmond
• meet with other advocates around issues of common concern
• share stories of the interfaith community

We are arranging for three tracks:

Introducing Advocacy - experiencing state government for the first time including a tour of the Capitol, contact with helpful guides, and a behind the scenes look at the General Assembly

Legislative Immersion - education about the legislative process and how to participate as a person of faith

Influencing the Agenda - issue briefs for those prepared to visit their legislators
