Our Spiritual Presence
We provide a spiritual presence at the General Assembly through the following ways:
Encouraging legislators to utilize their Faith as they make legislative decisions.
Providing a listening ear with legislators, their aides and the General Assembly staff.
Providing a Prayer leaflet the first day of the session which includes scripture from the Center’s three traditions and prayers for specific occasions in the legislative process.

Praying with legislators and constituent groups who are part of our Regional Chapters
Distributing Tri-weekly Purple Sheets. For the past few years, as part of our spiritual and advocacy presence at the General Assembly, we distribute to each legislator every Monday, Wednesday and Friday a purple paper. Each has a quote that is either inspirational or supportive of one of our issues. Click here to read those from the 2004 session.
