Monday there will be another forum on Medicaid expansion, in Fredericksburg. These town hall-style meetings are designed to offer information to the public on the benefits of expanded healthcare access. They’re also designed to keep the issues on the “front burner” as the General Assembly prepares to gather next week to work on the state budget, where this issue will finally be decided.

VICPP, AARP Virginia and Healthcare for All Virginia’s (HAV) Coalition are sponsoring these events, where a panel – including legislators, healthcare policy experts and representatives of the healthcare industry – will talk about how Medicaid expansion will impact the state and our local communities.
