Business Leaders Support for Paid Sick Days Standard

Thank you for providing paid sick days to your employees! We need your support as we advocate for a paid sick day standard in Virginia. Approximately 1.2 million Virginia workers have no paid sick days, the majority of whom are low wage workers who face the difficult decision of going to work sick or not getting paid to stay home while sick. It is critical that businesses like yours set an example for others by showing that paid sick days are the right thing to do for your employees.

As a business operating in Virginia, we care about the welfare of our employees and our customers and we provide a minimum of 5 paid sick days (40 hours) to all full-time workers every year. We believe it is a good business practice to provide this benefit to employees, and it’s also the right thing to do.
